Life with children who have challenges can frankly be, challenging. Parents and caregivers are called upon to act as experts in both dealing with their children and with those who will be involved with their children. There was no book on "How To" included at the birth of these children, so how do they acquire this expertise? To assist parents in acquiring these skills and understanding is an integral part of my practice which includes parent training. This training encompasses topics such as writing social stories, helping children set goals and meet them, the IEP process and how to set up a strong team around your child's needs. I do this through one on one training with the adults in your child's life as well as on going monthly parent training seminars.
